As another Volunteers Week comes to a close, we wanted to take this opportunity to say a huge thank all our amazing volunteers who help to make SJMT the happy and caring community it is today.
Have you ever considered a volunteering role? Volunteering is not just for the benefit of those you are helping but it has numerous benefits for the volunteers themselves too, including:
- Meeting new friends and professional connections from diverse backgrounds - Gaining valuable skills - Providing job prospects - Combatting loneliness, improving mental health, and making you feel connected to your community - and lots more!
There are various volunteering roles at SJMT including providing emotional or practical support to an older person, shaping young people's futures through mentoring, running sessions for our residents in activities such as yoga or dance, or any other skills you might be able to share to enrich the lives of our residents.
If you would like to have a positive impact on other people's lives and think you might have what it takes to be part of our team of wonderful volunteers, contact Serena Laidley, our Residents Activities and Volunteer Coordinator on 07795 245901 or email serena.laidley@sjmt.org.uk.
