Throughout our history, we have had generations of families live with us. Even some of the children from the original orphanage came to live with us, in our Almshouses, in their later lives.
Recently Alexandra Court resident, Audrey Turley, celebrated her 90th birthday and sat on the same bench her mother, Maud Richards, sat on when she celebrated her 90th birthday 24 years ago in 1997.
Before moving to Alexandra Court, they both also lived in our independent living scheme, Mason House in Shirley.
Both mother and daughter were supported by many of the same staff, including Manager Anita Shan and this just shows how much people value the services and support we provide.
