With autumn now here, we look back on our fond memories of another enjoyable summer at SJMT.
Here’s a glimpse of some of the activities our residents have taken part in, and a very happy day out for our young people we support through Shine.

July at Mason Court began with a visit from super-singer Jonny (left), who was such a big hit we’ve booked him to return at Christmas.
July also saw us welcome Alison Roberts as our new volunteer coordinator, working across SJMT and Yardley Great Trust.
Alison has settled right into her role and is working on lots of new ideas to support and grow our amazing team of volunteers.
If you’re over 18 and can spare some time each week, she’d love to hear from you on 0121 245 1002 or email alison.roberts@sjmt.org.uk.

Everyone at Mason Cottages was sad to bid farewell to Colin, who has moved to be closer to his family.
Colin’s positive nature and support with organising events will be missed, but we all enjoyed wishing him well at his leaving party.
Shine update
A wonderfully sunny day was in store for our group of young people who had a trip to Weston-super-Mare.
Their day included delicious fish and chips by the sea, a game of football on the sand and a wander along the pier.
Two of the comments we had included:
“My head has generally been clearer since the trip just to sort out what I want in life sometimes all people need is a fun day out.”
“It was an amazing fun experience to relax and wind down from reality.”

And finally…
We’re ending this season’s update was with one of our favourite memories from the summer. The garden was blooming all summer long at Mason House – just look at the height of this sunflower!
