Housing in later life event
For many people, housing options in later life can be extremely confusing with
a wide range of words used to describe and market what is on offer. We know that many professionals working with older people don’t know the difference between Sheltered Housing and Extra Care and many confuse both with Residential Care.
Sir Josiah Mason Trust is a group of three local charities and a housing association. We have been providing housing and care in Birmingham and Solihull for 150 years and as part of our 150th anniversary celebrations we plan to hold a public event which helps older people, their families and professionals better understand what is available locally for older people.
The event will take place on Wednesday 4th July 2018 between 10.00am - 2.00pm at the Studio in the Core in Solihull.
We very much want this to be an informative event delivered in partnership with other organisations and therefore, we are inviting other local providers of housing for older people to have a table and stand at the event. We plan to promote this through the local media, social media, local professional networks and through promotional events in the centre of Solihull.
If you would like to be part of this event, please email enquiries@sjmt.org.uk to express an interest by no later than 23rd May 2018, sharing your organisations name and the contact details of the best person to speak to regarding the event.
If you are happy for your organisation to be included in promotional materials, please also send us a copy of your logo.
We look forward to hearing from you.
